"Dulima" is a 20-minute documentary (in the making) about the mythical story of Cacica Dulima, an indigenous priestess born between the high mountains of Machín Volcano, a central mountain range that is part of the Nevados National Park, located between the department of Quindío and Tolima.

Despite of being a representative figure of the indigenous culture that inhabited these latitudes before the arrival of the European settlers, it is really a story waiting to be told.

We are interested in contributing to the process of historical reconstruction of this region, which corresponds to an extensive study of culture and heritage, with the aim of preserving and visualizing the ancestral stories.

This documentary that also talks about our origin and perhaps is an answer or explanation for issues related to our race and habits, is headed by students and regional artists.

The development team of the project consists of photographers, musicians, dancers, writers and plastic artists, supported by experienced documentary makers, historians and anthropologists, who have shined a light on the making of the documentary. This is an independent project that is looking for funding through donations from friends, family, acquaintances or anyone who believes in us and our dream.

The documentary will be screened on the 20th of November at the IV Documentary Festival of the University of Tolima, where it will compete with other projects for recognition and an invitation to the Cartagena Film Festival in 2019.
